CSW Brunner

Mother Brunner has an entire week of themes and celebration events planned for Catholic Schools Week.  You will find the complete list here.  If your student is not able to participate in a theme day they must be in school uniform that day if they do not fully participate in a particular day’s theme. No jeans with holes or tears each day of Spirit Week, NO leggings, and NO shirts with graphics, pictures, or words.

Monday
School Spirit Really Red Day:

Wear as much red as you can to show your bulldog spirit! Students are encouraged to wear “RED” Clothing to celebrate our own great Catholic School, Mother Brunner!

Tuesday 
Favorite Team Day:

Wear a shirt/jersey, hat, or other items with your team! Students wear Jerseys, T-Shirts, or any combination of colors that reflect their favorite team. Students may wear appropriate blue jeans or sweatpants colors of their favorite sports teams.

Wednesday
Wear your PJs:

Pajamas must meet the general criteria of out-of-uniform standards as outlined in the student handbook:
*Shirts and pants, no shorts, gowns or athletic pants, or sweats. Pajama shirts must have sleeves. You can wear a robe.
*Students should wear gym shoes to school. NO SLIPPERS/NO CROCS.
*Students must wear all appropriate undergarments with their pajamas.
*Please double-check that all PJs are appropriate for wearing out in public.
 

Thursday
Super Hero, Movie Star, Bestie Day:
Dress like your favorite superhero or TV/movie character or if you have a bestie, dress as twins! Students can dress up for the day and channel their inner superhero, favorite tv/movie character, or twin with someone. Students who dress up from each grade band (PreK-2), (3-5), and (6-8) will be entered in a drawing to win a restaurant gift card.

Friday
Crazy Clothes Day:
Wear as many colors and patterns, a wacky hat and some silly socks. The possibilities are endless! Students get to match their clothing in combinations that would never be worn together. (For example, A purple striped shirt with a green and yellow plaid vest.) Get super creative with this one! Pictures will be taken.

Events

Monday, Jan. 30 
Parish/Religious Appreciation Day- Parishioners who attend 8:30 Mass and the parish office will receive some thank you cookies after Mass, and a big Mother Brunner thank you card for supporting our school. Pre-K will be our Ambassadors to present this.

Tuesday, Jan. 31 
Community Appreciation Day-Trotwood’s mayor’s office will receive a Thank You card from our students for their dedication to the Trotwood community and the House of Bread for all they do to feed the Dayton community. House of Bread has catered many events at our school, and we want to show our gratitude! We will treat both to a basket of cookies and a thank you card.

Wednesday, Feb. 1 
Teacher Appreciation Day- Teachers will be gifted with a delicious lunch and a small gift
to show our gratitude for all that they do for our students. They are so deserving! Feel free to
send a card, message, or a little something to show your appreciation. Also, some of our students and staff will attend a city-wide Catholic School Mass at St. Peters Church.

Thursday, Feb. 2 
Families Appreciation Day- Parents who will be retrieving their students at dismissal will receive a sweet treat thank you, and each family at our school will be entered into a drawing to receive a $10 Kroger gift card to show how thankful we are for all that you do and the support that you give! We will be giving out (10) gift cards. We'd like to ask for your patience at dismissal.

Friday, Feb. 3 
Student Appreciation Day- Students can dress in mix/match and wear a wacky hat or some silly socks to enjoy a day of fun! We will have Catholic school trivia each hour for prizes. Students will get a special sweet treat and watch a fun movie.
