ATTENTION EIGHTH-GRADE PARENTS:
Eighth-grade graduation will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Precious Blood Church. The graduation ceremony will begin with a Prayer Service. The Prayer Service and ceremony are just for the graduating students, family, and friends. It will start promptly at 1:00 p.m. in Precious Blood Church. The graduation ceremony will start directly after the Prayer service. Each student is permitted to invite no more than six family members and/or friends to join us at the Prayer Service and Graduation Ceremony. Children 5yrs. and younger are not included in this count. Please note that the ceremony will be Live Streamed from the parish website, and all other family and friends may watch at their leisure. Make sure your family and friends access the following link. GRADUATION DAY TIMELINE, DRESS CODES, AND MORE:
- All eighth-grade students are required to arrive at Precious Blood Church no later than 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Students who aren’t at the Prayer Service will not be permitted to participate in the graduation ceremony. Students should arrive at the parish entrance.
- Eighth-grade gentlemen are required to wear a dress shirt, tie and dress pants with no athletic shoes.
- Eighth-grade ladies are required to wear a skirt, dress, or dress pants with a nice blouse. Skirts and dresses should be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee, and dress shoes should be of an appropriate height. Shoulders must be covered. Remember, students are attending a Prayer Service, so please dress accordingly.
Following the ceremony, there will be cupcakes for you to take with you to enjoy and a picture station to take a few pictures with your graduate. We ask that you DO NOT take any pictures during our Prayer Service. However, you are free to take as many pictures as you would like during the graduation ceremony. Each student will be assigned a pew for their families/friends to sit together. One pew should comfortably fit 6 people.
This is a very exciting time for you and your families. The faculty and staff of Mother Brunner wish to thank you for allowing us the privilege of teaching and providing your student a strong foundation of faith. As they go forth as Disciples of Christ, we hope they remember to keep God at the center of their life so that he can continue to order their steps to fulfill their life purpose. We wish our 2023 graduates the best in their future endeavors and will always keep them in our thoughts and prayers as they move on to a new journey.
